Crucial elements to run through your consideration before you host your horse show

When it comes to exhibitions, you must have been entertained by many animal shows or many antiques as well. Now, it goes without saying that it is a rich experience that goes with these. Speaking of exhibitions, a horse show is something that is no less than royalty.

From the rider’s nervousness to horses coming in all shapes and colours, you will enjoy a lot on these shows, especially if it is your first one. And the riders are not the only ones who experience nervousness. From the host to even the fans, a lot of people feel cold feet.

By no means, those are the only highlights of these shows. You will learn a lot about a horse box or how to properly maintain your horse in these exhibitions.

Here are some of the things you have to consider before your first horse show, whether you are the host or a spectator.

The warm-up etiquette

The most stressful component of the show will undoubtedly be the warm-up arena. Based on how massive the venue is, how many horses have entered the show and how organized it is, the warm-up might be empty, or it can be very stressful. If you happen to get a very busy warm-up, it is crucial that you know the general etiquette so that you do not get frazzled and do not upset other riders.

For the owners of the horse

The first thing you have to prioritize is the horse. You have to ensure that the coat of the horse is shining. The shiny coat might be obtained with proper nutrition and the coat spray. Consider trimming the horse beforehand. With that, it does not bother you on the show day.

The tack has to be clean and conditioned. The bit and your spurs need to be polished, and your attire should be clean as well. Make sure you prepare those things at least the day before the show.

For the rider

Beyond anything, you have to eat right. WHen you go ahead and maintain a good diet, you sleep better. When you are sleeping better, you have more stamina to get through the day. This applies to riding as well. It is understandable when you eat a bunch of junk, particularly in the overnight shows, your body pays the price in teh show ring. Please avoid it at all costs.

Wrapping Up

With the ticket in hand, you are sure to have a lifetime experience. Make sure to have a camera with you to capture some of the best horses out there. From equine beauty to knowing more about horse truck transport, your first experience will surely be a knowledgeable one.
