CAT 2025 Registration: Date, Application Form, Eligibility

CAT 2024/25 Online Registration has Started on 1st August 2024. Common Admission Test(CAT) commonly known as CAT is a national-level test conducted every year by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on a rotation basis. The exam has been scheduled for 24th November 2024. It is divided into three sessions. After qualifying the entrance, candidates get admission to various management programs comprising postgraduate and doctorate courses. Many non-IIM participating colleges also accept CAT scores.

CAT 2025 Application Form Date

The registration of the CAT 2025 Application Form was released on 1st August 2024 and will continue till 13th September 2024.

• Online mode will be available on the official CAT Website for registration in CAT 2025. Candidates have to click the “Registration” tab to create an account. The applicant has to fill in all the details correctly related to their name, DOB, email address, and phone number that will be asked while registering for the exam. The email ID and mobile number mentioned by the candidate should be valid and functional.
• The Application Form for CAT 2025 will be available online only on the website. No other forms are entertained.
• From 1st August to 13th September 2024, a candidate can start registering for CAT 2025.
• Scanning and uploading passport-size photographs and signatures at the time of application in the prescribed format is mandatory.
• A short time for correction in the application form would be provided to the candidates.
• The communication regarding CAT 2025 will be done with the candidates at this email address and this mobile phone number, which must therefore be valid and active.
• The candidate has to check the eligibility in all respects and then fill up the application form as only the eligible candidates shall be considered.
• Candidates will also be required to give a list of six cities in order of preference for appearing in the test.
• Incomplete or incorrect information in the application form may lead to rejection; hence, candidates are advised to check all information before submission.
• At the end of the application process, candidates must take a printout of the filled application form for future reference.
• Following the guidelines and completing all steps with accuracy and within the stipulated timelines is very crucial for a successful CAT 2025 application.

CAT Application Correction 2025

The correction process for the CAT 2025 Application will be held online in the applicants are allowed to make corrections in the online application form. Students will be allowed to make necessary corrections for a couple of days by using their login credentials and editing options. This is going to be a one-time opportunity for correction; no more chances will be given after this.

Applicants must note that once the registration for the CAT 2025 is completed, no change in category will be entertained. Even in fields such as Date of Birth, Email ID, State, and Mobile Number, no edit option will be available. First, the authority will provide an option to edit mistakes in images and then will activate the option to make final corrections in the other details.

How to do CAT 2025 Application Form Correction?

Following is the procedure for correcting errors in the CAT Application Form 2025:

• Steps for accessing the Correction Portal: Visit the official website of CAT. Log in with the credentials provided at the time of registration.
• Correction Option: Look for the “Application Correction” option or something similar on the homepage or navigation menu of the website.
• Portal Access: This will open a link; click on it to access the correction portal.
• Correction Instructions: Go through the correction instructions and guidelines provided in detail.
• Identifying Correction Fields: Identify the personal information/uploaded document fields where corrections are to be done.
• Doing Corrections: Make the desired changes or edits in a particular field as applicable.
• Modification Re-Check: All modifications should be re-checked for completeness and accuracy.
• Save updated info: Save updated information through the options provided on the portal.
• Proceed Further (if applicable): Move on to document submission or fee payment, if any.
• Form Submission (if any): Once all the edits are made, re-submit the form in case the system requires so.
• Correction Window Closure: Note that no correction will be entertained once the correction window closes. Hence, you will need to ensure that the corrections are allowed within the stipulated time.

CAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for CAT 2025 would establish the minimum requirements that a candidate would have to fulfill to appear in the test.

• Qualification Requirement: The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University/institution.
• Students pursuing professional degrees like CA/ICWA/CS are also eligible for admission.
• Minimum Marks – The candidate needs to have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the qualifying examination.
• For SC/ST and PWD candidates, the minimum percentage required is 45%.
• The calculation of the percentage will be decided by the respective institution/university.
• Age Limit- There is no age bar for the candidate applying to the CAT examination.
• Attempt Limit – There is no limit on the number of attempts to apply for CAT.

Documents Required Description

• Academic Certificates Scanned copies of the bachelor’s degrees or equivalent mark sheets and certificates or professional degree certificates such as CA/ICWA/CS.
• Photograph Recent passport-size photographs in the specified format, presenting a clear image and plain background.
• Signature Scanning of signature done with a black ink pen on white paper and uploading the same in the specified format.
• Category Certificate: Scanned copies of category certificates (if applicable) for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, or PwD categories.
• Identity Proof: Scan valid identity proof in the form of an Aadhar card, passport, driver’s license, or PAN card for verification.
• Payment Receipt: Scan a copy of the receipt obtained after paying an application fee online, either through credit/debit cards or net banking.
